SaBi Tea Arts offers individual and small group lessons in the Omotesenke tradition of chanoyu (Japanese tea ceremony) in an eight-mat traditional tea room on tatami mats.
Training in Chanoyu is provided by Maiko Behr, a certified instructor of the Omotesenke School. Licensing and instructor certification is possible upon consultation.
Kōdō Incense Ceremony Classes
[Starting soon] Instruction in traditional Japanese incense ceremony will be provided by a certified instructor of the Senzan Goryū school based in Kyoto, Japan.
Certified calligraphy instructor Kazuko Ikegawa will provide tips and critiques during the on-site sessions as well as providing sample texts on seasonal subjects for at-home practice between sessions. No prior experience is necessary -- all levels are welcome!
